Aghaaz-e-Junoon | Spiti Valley Roadtrip - Itinerary
Day 1: Shimla >> Rampur Bushahr >> Sarahan
Drive: 154 Kms | Hotel at Sarahan | Lunch, Dinner
Start your day from Shimla early and relish the drive through the hills. Explore the age old beauty of Rampur Bushahr fort and the apple orchards of the valley. Bhimakali Temple and the Royal Palace of Sarahan are also on the cards for the history buffs. The night will be spend at a gorgeous campsite under the shadow of the mighty Shrikhand Mahadev Range with gorgeous Apple Trees all round.
Day 2: Sarahan >> Rarang >> Lippa >> Kalpa
Drive: 177 Kms | Hotel at Kalpa | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
The day will take you through Himachal’s ‘Grand Canyon’-like landscape to explore Jangram Valley with the monasteries at Rarang, Lippa and Asrang. The road will take you into the land of the Chilgozas, the land where no tourists have been, the land where the culture and the landscape is just as untamed as the river that flows through it. This is you getting ready for the more adventurous parts of your Spiti Trip.
Day 3: Kalpa >> Nako >> Gue >> Tabo

Julley! as the Cold Himalayan Desert descends upon you! You start at Khab where China’s waters meet the Satluj and enter into a world within a world. The shades of brown turn more and more vivid and you climb towards Nako and further move to 1000 year old Monastery at Tabo. From the holy mummy in Gue to the vegetation and even the landscape will leave a lasting impact on your soul.
Day 4: Tabo >> Lahlung >> Dhankar >> Komic >> Hikkim >> Kaza
Drive: 128 Kms | Hotel at Kaza | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Spiti Exploration reaches the next level as you witness the magic of Komic and Hikkim, explore the awesome village of Lahlung and reach the heart of the Lotus at Dhankar, where the ancient monastery still stands, after acing though all the tests of time. Then comes Kaza where you get to create that heart-to-heart connect with Buddhism and understand its many aspects.
Day 5: Kaza >> Langza >> Kye >> Kibber >> Chicham >> Losar
Drive: 92 Kms | Hotel at Losar | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
The final leg of Spiti and its barren peace . The drive from Kye Monastery to Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary and Chicham Bridge all the way to Kyato Village will take you through stunning scenery, Yak feeding meadows and table-top plateaus in very shade of brown and gold imaginable! And then the day culminates in Losar – a quaint little village on the edge of the world.
Day 6: Losar >> Kunzum La >> Chandrataal >> Atal Tunnel >> Manali
Drive: 151 Kms| Hotel at Manali | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Get the biggest high of your life as you cross Kunzum La to re-enter a world with grass and green. The aquamarine Moon Lake awaits you on the other side with its gorgeous waters and unbelievable backdrop of mountains. Camp for a night here and get yourself ready to head back to civilization. Chandrataal is your last frontier as bustling Manali awaits your arrival on the other side of the next pass.
Day 7: Check-Out
The trip ends here in the morning with this last breakfast shared with your fellow Spiti-ans before you move forward towards your homes and lives. Of course, you heart will remain here, behind – lost somewhere in the bronze wilderness and enchanting cold desert that is Spiti.

Package Exclusions
- All personal expenses and even expenses incurred due to reasons beyond our control such as bad weather or road blocks due to landslides etc.
- Anything not specified in the itinerary.
- Any increase in road taxes, diesel, entrance fees or any other govt.-imposed taxes.
- Evacuation charges, damage of any nature.
- Personal expenses of the clients or any other expenses incurred due to bad weather, road closure, landslides etc.
- Any Air/ Rail ticket
- Any monument fees, Camera fees
Policies
- In case the participant chooses to withdraw their participation, amounts will be refundable on the following basis:
Cancellation intimation till 1 month before date: 50% refund
Cancellation intimation less than1 month before date: No refund
- Any disputes arising out of this trip will be subject to Bhopal jurisdiction only.
- Junoon Adventure will not be liable for any discrepancies in information provided by participants in their health declarations or any instance of infections during or post the event.
- While we will try its level best to ensure all safety precautions, government guidelines and sanitization protocols are followed, Junoon Adventure shall not be held liable for mistakes/oversights by third party vendors including resort/hotel/catering/service teams
- Junoon reserves the right to cancel the booking of any participant at any time if we feel their presence is detrimental to the health and wellness of other participants and public.
